This collection aims to raise awareness in the broad public about the state of the question around key issues of scientific research through brief and affordable papers written by scientists of the CSIC.

With several collective titles coordinated by a researcher of the CSIC, this collection allows the interested public to catch up on a specific research line.

The books of this collection respond to the citizens´ demand for information about the matters that affect them the most: health, environment, technological and social transformations, etc. Each volume, made by a team of specialists in the subject, is coordinated by a researcher of the CSIC.

The purpose of this collection is to help expanding the knowledge about controversial topics that affect society. Each volume gathers the transcription of the face-to-face debate between scientists of the CSIC and other institutions on each of these topics.
